NEVER BE IN A HURRY

Never be in a hurry!

What do I mean?

In life,  people may have so many dreams... to be rich... to be successful... to be famous!

There is no harm to have aspirations like this.
In fact, we encourage the youth to strive to reach their goals in life!
It gives more meaning for living!

But these material dreams should be the means and NOT the purpose for being!
If you have the money, you may be able to sponsor your own selfless activities.
If you are successful or famous, people might listen more to your advocacies!

So again, what do I mean?

Never be in a hurry to be rich, successful or famous!
Being in a hurry may tempt us to do the shortcuts...
and compromise our own values!
Being in a hurry may obscure our ideal vision...
and become excited by the glitters of gold!

Being too in a hurry causes turbulence in our lives!

Just strive hard to achieve our dreams...
And savor the fruits of our labor!
It may sometimes be too slow, but at least, it becomes more precious...
Therefore, something we would never take for granted!

Many times, SLOWLY BUT SURELY MAY BE THE WAY TO GO!

  1. there is no short cut in getting everything. one must go through some hardships to achieve your goals. i agree with this post we should do everything slowly but surely.

  2. I've always believed in that adage...slow but sure. I always like doing things methodically, one step at a time. You achieve things in increments until someday, it pays off. :-)

  3. I'm guilty of this. I feel like I have to achieve all of my dreams now, and I forget that I'm only 23. Thanks for the reminder!

  5. I do believe we should take things slow. I used to go by this line from a movie (Mathew Broderick in Ferris Bueler's Day Off):"Life moves too fast. If you don't stop and look around, you might miss it!"

  6. Very well said. I know of young people who want to get rich quick and forget family in the process. Sad, really.

  7. You're totally right on this. Slowly but surely :) Just an example to share too, my SIL is so fast doing things in the kitchen. hence more kalat hahaha! So I always advice her to move things slowly rather than doubling the clean up mess hehehe!

  8. I too believe that we are all in a journey that has a perfect state for each perfect phase. That things don't need to be rushed because we will all pass it along the way anyway. :)

  9. Completely agree.
The more we run after something, the more it runs away from us.
I always believe in taking things slow, and letting fate take it's course. Everything has it's place and time. We just need to trust God and his will.

  10. Yes, slowly but surely.. And it's about the journey and less about the destination

  11. This is indeed very true! I also practice this in my own life. I was never trying really hard to get my way on the top. I do everything in proper pacing and always believes in God's time.

  18. Agree with everything! Plus, you often always make mistakes and take many things for granted when you're in a hurry. :)

  19. agree with you. Many are looking on easy money which most of them leads to scams. I think, everything has its own time for us. Have faith and work for it.

  20. I know this is an older blog post but it really caught my attention. In a nutshell, it is good to always stay with your values even when you're in a mission to get something you want.
