In 2018, the hotel was gifted to the Ateneo De Zamboanga University by philanthropist, Hilda Walstrom for education, spiritual, religious and social developmental purposes in line with ADZU’s mission, Pro Del et Patria... and was officially inaugurated last March 19, 2019. (ADZU.edu.ph)

Last March 23, 2020, the ADZU-Lantaka campus was designated as the Zamboanga City’s Isolation and Management facility for all PUI’s (Persons Under Investigation) with mild to moderate symptoms (Beng Climaco Facebook Page).  This is a heartfelt answer to the community’s call during these very unusual and challenging times of the COVID-19 Pandemic.


Thank you Ateneo De Zamboanga University, under the leadership of ADZU President Fr. Karel San Juan, for living up to the University’s motto == “For God and Country” and to continue to work “hand in hand” with Zamboanga City (and its neighboring provinces in Western Mindanao) leaders in good times and in these extremely trying times.
